Bruno de Barros made similar gains, going from 34th to 5th between practices, while Jek Porkins maintained a top-10 spot, setting the RPG-7 Motorsports drivers up nicely for the race.
Second practice was otherwise a bust for the remaining playoff drivers, as four placed in the top-11 but eight placed in the bottom-15. Amethyst Ashley fell from 6th to 24th, Julio Cesar from 11th to 29th, nascarfan19 from 14th to 27th, and points leader John Arndt from 22nd to last among full-timers. Ashley and nascarfan19 are below the cut line while Gratton and de Barros are above it.
