"That low line is just something else," Moore said. "You'd think staying in the draft is where you need to be on a superspeedway, but I think you saw throughout the race that the low line was going to win the race."
Conor Mays, who would finish second, had the lead up until the final corner when Moore went to his inside. "I'm just really frustrated, man," Mays said. "I really thought that high line had the momentum. As soon as I looked to the inside, it was pretty clear the win wasn't ours." The NACS race also saw some of the most terrifying accidents all weekend long. Chase Baldwin, Griffin Lynn, Austin Rogers, Kyle Law and Alexander Rowe were all airborne throughout four cautions. "That's one thing I'm glad I got out of the way in the first race," said Baldwin, now last in the point standings. "Let's hope that's the last time I'm upside down in a stock car." |
