Non-Points Races
Season 1
Butcher entered the NFRN as a full-time driver in the Elite Cup Series driving the No. 90 Chevrolet. He won the race at Delaware Speedway and earned a Chase birth, but his regular season was marred by a near miss on finishing in the top-35 in points to make his spot valid. Butcher would end up dropping out in the Round of 12 in the Chase and finished 12th in standings. In Season 1, he recorded one win, two top-fives, and five top-10s.
Season 2
Butcher returned to the No. 90 car in the NECS. In the sixth race of the season, he found the way to his second career win at Green Valley Super Speed Ring, crashing after contact with Ryan Maiden and beating out runner-up Gerrard Oran in the closest finish in the NECS to date at 0.026 seconds. A series of bad finishes in the Chase Round of 16 kept him from advancing. However, he went to the next race at SimTel Park and showed incredible race pace, moving from 18th on the final restart on lap 14 to the lead and ensuring victory with a gutsy no-tire call on the last pit stop. He became just the second driver to reach three wins in the NECS after Season 1 champion Rampage.
