Weeks entered the NFRN as a full-time driver in the Elite Cup Series driving the No. 21 Ford. He earned a Chase birth with a controversial win at Brooklands Outer Circuit after turning Eric Van Arsdale into the wall while coming in to pit under green. In the Round of 12, Weeks was able to grab another win at RTR Motor Speedway and clinch a spot in the Round of 8 but was unable to make it into the championship round. Weeks finished 10th in standings. In Season 1, he recorded two wins, three top-fives, six top-10s, and one pole position. He tied with other drivers for the most wins in this season.
